Superficially, it may make sense that if I want to build up the “skin-type” of collagen, then I should ingest that form of collagen. Asking for a specific animal source e.g., Marine vs bovine, or a specific tissue-type of collagen (Type 2 or 1 etc.) is really asking the wrong question, as they all provide the necessary amino acids to generate new collagen locally in the right amounts and forms. It is a conversation that basic products use in an attempt to create some form of differentiation in a crowded marketplace.
